New Logo, New Brand

On January 16, 1981, the Edmonton Gleaners Association became incorporated as a society and Canada’s first Food Bank was born. At the time, no one could have predicted that the organization would become a vital instrument of caring in our community.

It is with mixed feelings that Edmonton’s Food Bank acknowledges our 35th anniversary as an organization. It is unfortunate that the need for a Food Bank in Edmonton continues. At the same time, we acknowledge the truly outstanding contributions that have been made to the Food Bank by volunteers, staff, donors, partner agencies and other supporters throughout the years. On behalf of Edmonton’s Food Bank, thank you for your continued support.

New Logo, New Brand

In keeping with the spirit of respecting the past and believing in the future, we have new branding. To acknowledge our 35th anniversary and thanks to our very generous friends at ThinkTank, we are making changes with a new logo. Due to obvious financial and organizational constraints, you will see our (old) logo in use in the community for the next couple of years. As items are replaced or as we need to order new business cards, they will be replaced with our new look.

ThinkTank is also leading us with marketing and communication strategies. Thank you to Ed and the team at ThinkTank!
