City of Edmonton Free Admission Day

On Sunday, September 28, 2008 all City of Edmonton facilities are admission free and guests are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for the Food Bank. Thank you City of Edmonton!

CP Spirit Train

Join the CP Spirit Train on Monday, September 29, 2008 at WP Wagner School – 6310 Wagner Rd NW from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Duane Steele is a Canadian Country Music Association award winning singer, and among Canada’s top country recording artists and songwriters with a professional career dating back to 1984. His pure voice and natural stage presence makes his live shows a must see.
The Vancouver 2010 Mascots, Miga, Sumi and Quatchi are on site for 20 minutes at the top of every hour between 3pm and 6pm!

18 Wheels of Christmas Food Drive

On October 1st, 2008, Resenau Transport Ltd. will begin the 18 Wheels of Christmas Food Drive in support of Edmonton’s Food Bank. This year’s goal is to fill two 53 foot trailers full of food to be delivered to the Food Bank in December. For more information, please visit Rosenau Transport Ltd.

Edmonton’s Food Bank Harvest Luncheon

Edmonton’s Food Bank dedicates our entire year to eliminating hunger in the city. Fall is a time for harvest, and it takes Edmonton’s Food Bank back to our historical role as Gleaners. Join supporters, volunteers, and friends on Thursday, October 30, 2008 for the annual Harvest Luncheon. The event will include lunch, a live auction, a “lottery”, and enjoy our special guest speaker, Richard Wong, General Manager of the Sutton Place Hotel.
